The Carpet Star® - A star is born!

The NL 11/TWIN-SE Carpet Star® is a structuring needle punching machine for the production of high-quality rib and velour products with two independently operating needle zones. These allow the creation of a totally new range of large repeat patterns and needled carpets with a surround or borders on all sides. In addition, this technology also offers the production of conventional patterns at far higher speeds.

The Carpet Star® is characterised by a precision drive system, which facilitates high production speeds even with short repeats. The two needle zones are adjusted to one another electronically in accordance with the prescribed recipe. As a result, maximum pattern design flexibility is guaranteed.

Applications:
- Very large repeat at previously unattained speeds
- Patterned carpets with a surround or borders on all sides.
- Possibilities to not only create differing patterns in the body of the carpet, but also within the surround or border.
- An ability to provide completely new patterns, as well as simulated oriental carpets.
- The production of standard NL11/SE patterns at far higher speeds.
- Excellent pattern joins and hence the quality of the carpets, are guaranteed by means of a continuous grille.
- Reduced investment costs due to increased needle penetrations in a SINGLE machine.

The first Carpet Star® to go on-line, went into production at Beaulieu in Belgium during 2003 and further sales are currently in the pipeline.
