The principle of H1 technology is the idea that
superior web properties can be attained through
oblique angled needle penetration. Such penetration
is achieved by means of an asymmetrically curved
needling zone and straight needle movement.
Advantages
- A longer needle path through the web creates better fibre
orientation.
- Randomisation can be attained far earlier without an increase
in draft as a result of fibre reorientation.
- By the employment of the H1 technology higher strength, density
and delamination values can be reached.
- The asymmetric curve of the perforated plate prevents web
flutter, while simultaneously providing controlled
needling, increased web stability and reduced width
shrinkage
Applications
Machines using H1 technology are mainly employed
where web stability, a 1:1 MD/CD ratio and high
end product strength are of decisive importance,
e.g. for geotextiles, synthetic leather, filters, shoe
linings, automotive textiles and papermaker felts.
